Q&A:

1) What would success look like for this role in the first 60–90 days, and which types of commercialization projects will be prioritized (e.g., new product launches vs. product changes)?

  • Thorough understanding of projects/ stakeholders/ tasks.
  • Plan and execute complex projects supporting innovation portfolio.
  • Manage project risks, timeline and stage gate milestones.

2) What level of autonomy and influence will this individual have when working across R&D, marketing, supply chain, and finance teams?

  • Partner with BUs, Innovation and technical team to supply and manage project timing, risk assessment.

3) How important is direct product development or CPG experience compared to pure project management or PMP‑driven experience?

Job Purpose

  • The Manager, PCM role is an Aon-based Project Management position, residing within the Operations organization. The successful candidate will spearhead the execution of product commercialization to help deliver the goals of each KHC business unit. The primary responsibilities will be driving the successful delivery of the North America Zone's portfolio of project initiatives. 
  • The role requires strong and effective leadership extending across multiple functional areas, aligning efforts between R&D, marketing, sales, finance and supply chain teams to ensure that each launch or product change is seamlessly executed and thrives in market. 
  • Proven communication, collaboration, & influencing skills are critical for the candidate's success and to realize Client's long-term strategic commitments. The PCM will lead a diverse team of cross-functional experts and be responsible for leading the project to deliver it on time, in budget and to desired specifications.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Accountable for KHC's end-to-end commercialization process, from initial concept to successful market launch and post-launch review.
  • Drive stage gate process and decisions on project progress, deviation, mitigation plan, influencing cross functional team in favor of project objectives and delivery expectations.
  • Identify, monitor and communicate project risk to executive teams while supporting the development of mitigation strategies.
  • Tracking key metrics, reporting progress, and making adjustments as needed to ensure project success.
  • Lead cross-functional project team across R&D, Marketing, Operations, Procurement, Quality to innovate on execution processes to improve our speed to market timing.
  • Strengthen the quality, operational, technical rigor within the KHC commercialization processes leading to improved in-market success.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implementing best practices.

Expected Experience & Required Skills

  • 3+ years Managing Commercialization Projects or Project Teams.
  • Proven experience in product development and commercialization, preferably in the CPG or food & beverage industry with PMP Certification or similar preferred.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, able to lead and motivate teams across different departments and levels.
  • Successfully negotiate with stakeholders and team members to arrive at mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning to applying new knowledge to improve project outcomes.
  • Strong Business Acumen understanding the unique economic factors motivating brand and category strategy.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of leading conversations for both internal teams and external partners.
  • Proven analytical skills leveraging data driven analysis to develop solutions and implementing change within an organization.
