Job Summary
The Commercial Project Manager will manage all aspects of a commercial job after a sale is completed. This includes hosting a project turnover meeting, establishing financial accounts, providing submittals, releasing orders, issuing vendor orders, tracking progress, coordinating start-up, and overcoming jobsite issues. The project manager will maintain close control over the project to ensure customer satisfaction and meet the project deadlines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide commercial project management support for complex commercial sales.
  • Become a recognized expert at Carrier Enterprise products, applications, and selections.
  • Host job turnover meetings with all personnel involved in closing a sale. Establish project delivery, financial and technical requirements.
  • Complete all financial paperwork to establish the project and prepare for order.
  • Generate submittals and work to obtain approval. Actively manage risks, collaborate with vendors, and optimize project financial results.
  • Maintain structured communication and project management process. Maintain project accounting in compliance with company operating guidelines.
  • Develop a partnership with the internal product support teams to continually improve internal process.
  • Maintain a log of all projects and provide management reports on set intervals.
  • Work with the Applied Order Management team to release orders. Manage vendor orders and subcontracts as required.
  • Communicate with the customer on all aspects of the project.

  • Able to follow procedure while in a time demanding environment

QUALIFICATIONS
  • HVAC technical sales or operations experience
  • An undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical discipline is preferred
