Job description

General Summary

Our organization seeks an individual to fill the role of Leasing Associate for the Commercial Department. This position would report to the Senior Director, Asset Management


Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

  • The Associate shall assist in carrying out the policies and procedures surrounding the day to day functions of the Commercial Leasing department as determined by the Leasing Manager.
  • The Leasing Associate must be a self-motivated team member willing to work in a close-knit environment.
  • The Leasing Associate will carry out functions inclusive of, but not limited to, staying current with trends in today’s market to determine competitive pricing with regards to market rent, tenant improvements, rental abatement, etc.
  • Draft leasing forms including but not limited to Letters of Intent (LOI’s) and other related leasing materials.
  • Maintain and update a database of prospective clients per building.
  • Effectively present prospects and prospects financial documents (i.e. bank statement, financial statement, etc.) business plans, available financing, and letters of intent to Leasing Manger.
  • Assist in the marketing of each assigned property and ensure accurate and timely updates are made to all collateral, websites, etc. as necessary.
  • Draft responses to RFPs in an efficient, professional, and timely manner and present to Leasing Manager.
  • Arrange and perform leasing tours with any client and during all leasing tours, Leasing Associate shall note any maintenance, repairs, lighting, and overall appearances of properties to ensure listings are being maintained and make appropriate recommendations for modifications to Leasing Manager.
  • Have on-going communications with existing tenants to discuss renewals, expansion, relocation, and track lease expiration dates.
  • Compile and present weekly leasing activity reports to Leasing Manager.
  • Update all stacking plans for buildings as directed by Leasing Manager.
  • Perform commission calculations on an as needed basis for approval by Leasing Manager

Qualifications:

  • BA or BS from a four-year college or university required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Up to three (3) years of comprehensive experience in commercial leasing or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience, sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job

Skills:

  • Strong customer service skills
  • Knowledge of lease modeling is a plus
