Job description

I’m currently partnering with a highly regarded Chicago law firm that’s looking to add a Mid-Level Real Estate Associate to its growing commercial real estate group.


This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney seeking sophisticated leasing work within a collaborative and entrepreneurial platform. The group handles complex real estate matters across the country, including acquisitions and dispositions, development, financing, joint ventures, and high-level commercial leasing with a strong focus on sophisticated office leasing.


The team represents institutional owners, REITs, developers, landlords, tenants, and other major market participants across office, retail, and industrial asset classes.


Responsibilities:

  • Handle sophisticated commercial leasing transactions, including both landlord and tenant-side matters
  • Draft and negotiate office, retail, and industrial leases and related agreements
  • Work directly with institutional owners, REITs, developers, and property managers
  • Assist with broader commercial real estate transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and development matters


Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of sophisticated commercial real estate experience
  • Significant commercial leasing experience required
  • Sophisticated office leasing experience strongly preferred
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and client communication skills
