Overview
The Commercial Analyst reviews, evaluates, and identifies opportunities to support growth and efficiencies across all business segments
Responsibilities
  • Establish, develop and maintain customer relationships for Centerline Logistics Corporation and all subsidiary companies
  • Assist in demurrage calculations
  • Assist in contract admin
  • Ensure on hire and off hire times are accurate and timely
  • Ad Hoc reporting and operational research
  • Develop and maintain reports to track planned and unplanned service disruptions, and utilization
  • Assist in tracking and maintaining maintenance banks
  • Work closely with Commercial, Dispatch, Operations, and Accounting departments as needed to ensure efficient communication and company wide objectives are met.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, but not required.
  • 1-3 years of Maritime Experience Preferred
  • Must have some knowledge of the marine petroleum transportation industry
  • Must be able to develop and maintain professional relationships
  • Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Experience with maritime associations and sales preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience and knowledge in petroleum transport and logistics, terminal transfers, and bunkering.
  • Must be able to read, speak, write, type, and understand English in person and over telephone.
  • Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of customer relations, effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced office setting and be capable of handling multiple projects with firm deadlines.
  • Ability to deal with others using courtesy, tact, and good judgment.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive communications.
  • Ability to understand and execute complex oral and written instructions.
  • Computer skills that include, but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and typing of a minimum of 60 words per minute.
  • Ability to work with office staff, customers and vessel crew members.
  • Valid driver's license.

Job Condition and Environment
  • Periodic travel expected
  • Work with but not limited to computers, fax machines, copiers
  • May be required to sit for long periods of time.
  • Infrequent light physical effort required.

Expected Hours of Work
  • Normal office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  • Some after hours and weekend hours may be required
