Join Our Team as a Commercial Credit Analyst at IHMVCU!

This role will join an experienced team of commercial credit analysts, processors and lenders that balance risk with member needs. With a strong loan portfolio, we are in need of someone with three to five years of commercial experience. The team is located at our beautiful headquarters located on River Drive in Moline.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance (combination of education and prior experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in financial statement analysis, credit analysis or commercial lending support function.
  • Acute accuracy and exceptional attention to details are essential
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Main Responsibilities:
  • Prepares comprehensive Loan Presentation Summaries and Annual reviews, in support of underwriting and monitoring, working in cooperation with lenders. This includes the preparation of related documents including; Member account relationships, Risk Rating assessments, financial statement spreadsheets and performs credit investigations.
  • Utilizes available software and spreadsheets to analyze applicant financial status, credit standing and capabilities, cash flow, repayment sources analysis, industry comparable ratios, and collateral evaluations to prepare a complete and accurate loan presentation.
  • Prioritizes loan presentation preparation through the work in progress log, reviewing the list for new requests, loan renewals and annual reviews.
  • Establishes and maintains a system and process for requesting and tracking financial statements and other required financial related underwriting documents, income tax returns, personal financial statements, site visits, etc.
  • Assist portfolio monitoring via preparation of various reports, including:
    • Monthly Watch report summary - assist lenders in compiling monthly updates to the individual Action Plans and prepares summary Monthly Watch reports from these action plan updates.
    • Prepares register by risk ratings from monthly loan list.
    • Provides weekly future maturity report to lenders to initiate the request of financial information for the renewal/annual review process.
  • Insures all loans are risk rated annually.
  • Performs internal appraisal reviews for all MBL appraisals obtained per MBL loan policy.
  • Supports efforts to provide compliance with the environmental policy regarding collateral evaluation with obtaining environmental screening reports where appropriate per policy.
  • Assist with the development and monitoring of industry portfolio risk by instituting SIC/NAICS coding on all loans.
  • Collects, organizes, prepares, and distributes all agendas and loan presentations/Watch Loan action plans/summary reports for the weekly loan committee meetings and the monthly Loan Watch Committee meetings. In addition, maintains the official records of those meetings by completing meeting minutes and maintaining the official records.
  • Underwrites business loan decisions for loan requests that are less than $50,000 in total loan exposure, with a decision recommendation being presented to the Loan Officers/Sr. Loan Officers.
