Role: Asset Management
Location: Dallas , TX
Duration: Long Term
Duties: * Tracking hardware and software assets (including licenses) and configuration items from acquisition to disposition* Assist with Software License Management* Assist with defining disposition processes* Monitor CMDB to keep it well maintained and accurate* Assist with defining and managing the Asset & Configuration Management policy and processes* Ability to work with IT service management toolsThe types of activities the role will cover include:
* Creating, implementing and maintaining Configuration Management and Service Asset Management plans, processes, and standards* Working with Service Operations teams to ensure CMDB integration to process is set up, working and developed through Continual Service Improvement* Working with Technical Operations teams to ensure full visibility of the IT Services, Applications and Infrastructure within the CMDB* Working with Application and Infrastructure Owners to develop a federated model of ownership of the CIs and Asset Classes and ensure this stays current through governance* Ensuring integration and automation have been set up and are working well in populating the CMDB with the required data* Working with the IT Change team to ensure the CMDB remains central to the IT Change process* Improving data accuracy by identifying and addressing deviations or errors in CIs or relationships with the appropriate Asset owner* Contributing expert knowledge to projects in the wider organization* Networking across the organization and problem solving, both as part of a team and independently as required* Producing regular and ad-hoc reports, process documentation, instructions etc.* Track and maintain IT asset inventory* Ensure IT asset management processes are followed according to policy* Report to management and advise on process improvements* Compile ad-hoc asset inventory reporting and analysis* Address any problems, obstacles, or challenges related to IT asset management* Partner with Procurement to ensure proper terms and conditions are adopted with vendors* Maintain software license tracking and coordination
Skills: * The essential experience required for this role is a minimum of 1-2 years working with CMDBs and an understanding of the ITIL framework.* Experience of working with ServiceNow* Knowledge and experience in IT Asset and Inventory Management* Excellent communication skills* Ability to demonstrate exceptional organizational. Accuracy, and time-management skills* Good verbal and written communication skills. Strong initiative, problem solving, priority setting, and collaboration skills. Good organizational and analytical skills* Exhibits a high level of initiative and integrity
