A Contracts Manager works as a partner to the sales and operations disciplines within the business.

Job Description:

Modaxo is seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee and manage all contractual aspects of newly acquired business. This is a hybrid role with 50% in office expectations (Columbia Maryland location). The Contracts Manager will support business operations, ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and supporting strategic growth.
Responsibilities:
* Draft, review, negotiate, and administer a wide range of commercial contracts, including sales agreements, vendor contracts, partnership agreements, and non-disclosure agreements, in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., legal, sales, finance, operations) to understand business needs and ensure contracts accurately reflect agreed-upon terms and conditions.
* Identify and assess contractual risks, developing strategies for mitigation and ensuring adherence to compliance standards.
* Maintain a comprehensive contract management system, including tracking key dates, obligations, and renewals.
* Provide guidance and training to internal teams on contractual matters and best practices.
* Resolve contractual disputes and issues efficiently and effectively.
* Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to contract management in Canada and internationally.
* Assist in the development and refinement of contract templates, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in business administration, Law, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in contracts management, legal, or a related field, preferably within a technology or professional services environment.
* Proven experience drafting, negotiating, and managing complex commercial contracts.
* Strong understanding of contract law principles and commercial terms and conditions.
* Excellent negotiation, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
* Proficiency with contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Experience working with global teams and understanding of international contractual considerations is an advantage.
