You may also conduct market research, review zoning and financial documents, and communicate with clients or property owners. Your work is usually a blend of office-based tasks and occasional fieldwork, all under the supervision of a certified appraiser. TRAINING PROVIDED FOR THE RIGHT PERSON
This is the entry level classification into the appraiser job series. Incumbents are responsible for collecting data and preparing reports under direct supervision. Data collection will primarily consist of the physical surveying of residential and commercial properties and interviewing residents as needed to confirm the condition of individual properties. A designated appraiser will provide training and supervision. Additional duties may include:
High School diploma or G.E.D., construction, vertical, Drafting, Appraisal trainee or class and/or real estate experience preferred. Ideal candidate will have preparatory appraisal course work related to the measuring/listing of structures and data collection for appraisals. Licensing Requirements: Valid Driver's License and personal vehicle is required (mileage will be reimbursed).
