Job description

C3BM Principal Systems Engineer
Contingent upon prime contractor approval
Purpose:
  • Valkyrie Enterprises has need for a C3BM Principal Systems Engineer in Huntsville, AL working in the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) System Assessment Directorate.
  • In this role you will be part of the Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management (C3BM) systems engineering efforts to include engaging in Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) technical engineering and integration, future concepts, new functionality, and multi-national exchange designs.

Job Description:
  • Participate in systems and software engineering meetings, presenting product development updates, providing technical analysis, failure review summaries, and making actionable recommendations.
  • Deliver direct support to the lead for C2BMC algorithm development efforts.
  • Lead tasking and provide technical systems analysis of Sensor Resource Management/Battle Management (SRM/BM) for C2BMC.
  • Participate daily in C2BMC Spiral and Agile Development and the C2BMC Product Integration Team (PIT) in all system-level performance assessment, verification, and validation activities associated with C2BMC mission application development.
  • Represent MDA/BC in product peer reviews, system design reviews (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR), and prime contractor Agile Development workflow meetings as required to support C2BMC development, integration, test, and operations.

Qualifications:
  • Must have a Master's Degree in STEM and 12+ years of relevant experience required.
  • Must be proficient in system engineering and execution processes.
  • Must be able to apply network engineering and solutions to support real-world test, integration, and operations.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Self-starter with enthusiasm and capacity to learn in a fast-paced environment, preferred.
  • Able to work within a collaborative environment composed of Government, prime contractor, sub-contractor and supporting contractor personnel in a badge-less contractor environment, preferred.
  • Familiar with Missile Defense Agency, Ballistic Missile Defense System, and/or C3BM Program Office work efforts, preferred.

Security Requirements:
  • Must be a US Citizen and possess an Active Secret Clearance.

Travel Requirements:
  • Travel, to include international locations, may be required.
  • If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Able to sit and work on a computer for long periods of time
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another

  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds
