Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will serve as an Engineering lead for operational sustainment of large-scale air surveillance system. **This position is located in Ramstein AFB, Germany (International Assignment) **NO REMOTE WORK**

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Manage the technical baseline of requirements, compliance, and policy for a theater-wide Air Domain Control and Communications System.

  • Lead systems engineering efforts with minimal oversight, establishing engineering processes, technical approaches, and best practices as needed.

  • Serve as the technical integration lead, coordinating across software, hardware, networking, Field Service Representatives (FSRs), Program Management (PM), and customer stakeholders.

  • Own technical baselines, engineering artifacts, and overall system engineering governance.

  • Lead recurring technical exchanges, engineering reviews, and stakeholder communications to maintain alignment across the program.

  • Translate operational requirements into engineering solutions, modernization plans, and technical baselines.

  • Support the engineering, integration, modernization, and sustainment of hardware, software, communications, radar, and networked mission systems.

  • Perform systems engineering, special studies, analyses, and evaluations to inform decision-making and system improvements.

  • Conduct systems modernization, integration, analysis, sustainment, and enterprise architecture process evaluations.

  • Maintain information system compliance for integrated communication networks in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.

  • Prepare and deliver briefings and generate briefing materials for U.S. and partner military leadership.

  • Provide engineering leadership and technical reach-back support to Field Service Representatives and operational users throughout Europe.

  • Lead the integration of Air Defense Weapon Systems and Effectors into air defense networks, ensuring interoperability with command, control, communications, and radar systems.

  • Develop and validate system interfaces between weapon platforms, sensors, and command-and-control nodes.

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute integration testing, including live and simulated exercises, to verify system performance and operational effectiveness.

  • Provide oversite for the management of configuration/version control for systems under test to include software, firmware, and hardware components.

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, integration guides, and operational procedures for air defense weapon systems and effectors.

  • Ensure systems integration meets all applicable safety, security, and operational certification requirements.

  • Provide technical training and support to operational personnel and maintainers on integrated air defense weapon systems and effectors.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar technical field plus 8+ years of relevant experience.

  • Experience with Technical Baseline of requirements, compliance, and policy for an Air Domain Control and Communications System

  • Experience with data & network infrastructure supporting an operational air defense system and integrated communication network

  • Familiarity with data analysis scripting tools such as python or MATLAB and compiled software languages such as Java or C++

  • Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) toolset

  • Secret Clearance is required

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Familiarization with Joint All Domain Command and Control methods and architecture

  • Familiarization with US and NATO Military Air Operations and Joint Air Battle Management

  • Familiarization of air defense weapon systems and effectors to include, but not limited to:

  • Surface-to-air missiles

  • Gun systems

  • Directed energy (HEL, HPM)

  • Electronic attack / EW

  • C-UAS interceptors

  • Future kinetic and non-kinetic capabilities
