JOB SUMMARY

As a Lab Analyst, you will perform and document routine and specialized laboratory tasks in both our Chemistry and Microbiology labs. You’ll play a key role in supporting our water treatment operations by analyzing environmental samples, conducting quality control tests, and assisting with cutting-edge research that directly contributes to our success. Your work will help ensure the highest standards in our water treatment processes.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform quality control tests on Apex products
  • Perform laboratory testing on water treatment-related samples – typical equipment involved includes ion chromatography (IC), inductively coupled plasma (ICP), spectrophotometers, and wet method tests
  • Perform corrosion coupon and deposit analyses
  • Assist with reagent inventory management
  • Provide laboratory support such as daily calibration of balances, maintain instrument use manuals, and maintain general use forms and labels
  • Prepare solutions and reagents, general laboratory record keeping and cleaning, and assist with inventory on an as-needed basis
  • Adhere to and support all safety policies and guidelines
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Biology
  • Experience working in a laboratory setting
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analysis skills, with a solid understanding of laboratory techniques and equipment
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and high standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and document findings
  • Strong computer skills and a willingness to learn new systems and techniques in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated team player who demonstrates integrity, leadership ability, and strong social skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • IC and ICP experience
  • Experience working in a Chemistry lab setting

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

The anticipated hourly rate for this position is between $21 - $24 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off.
