Job description

Collections Specialist

Location: Schaumburg, IL | Hybrid – up to 50% remote

Your mission at TouchTunes

TouchTunes is looking for a Collections Specialist to join our Accounts Receivable team. You’ll own a portfolio of customer accounts and work directly with our customers and internal teams to resolve billing questions, reconcile accounts, and keep payments moving.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys digging into the details, figuring out what happened, and working with people to find a solution. You’ll have the independence to manage your accounts while being part of a collaborative Finance team that’s ready to jump in and help.

At TouchTunes, you won’t be working for an ordinary company. Our technology powers entertainment experiences in venues across North America —and your work will help support the customers and operators who bring those experiences to life.

What you'll do

You’ll take ownership of an assigned customer portfolio and become a trusted point of contact for both customers and internal partners. On a typical day, you might:

  • Manage customer accounts within assigned territories and proactively resolve outstanding balances or discrepancies
  • Connect with customers by phone and email regarding current and past-due balances
  • Research billing questions, discrepancies, and disputes and work with the appropriate teams to resolve them
  • Review aging reports and identify accounts that need attention
  • Reconcile customer accounts and payments
  • Partner with customers to develop payment arrangements and resolve collection issues
  • Build strong working relationships with customers, operators, and internal teams
  • Prepare credit memos and process customer credits and refunds
  • Maintain credit card information and documentation for Accounts Receivable processing
  • Prepare weekly operator debits
  • Pitch in on additional Accounts Receivable projects and priorities as needed

What you'll bring

You don’t need to check every box to make an impact here. We’re looking for someone who is curious, dependable, comfortable working with customers, and motivated to solve problems.

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of relevant business, accounts receivable, collections, or customer account experience
  • Experience working with an ERP or similar business system and using reporting functionality
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A customer-first mindset and the ability to navigate challenging conversations professionally
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage your work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
  • Comfort shifting priorities and moving between different types of tasks throughout the day
  • A commitment to demonstrating TouchTunes' core values and behaviors

Why you'll love working at TouchTunes

At TouchTunes, your work matters. We’re the world’s largest in-venue interactive music and entertainment platform, helping create moments of connection and fun every day.

You know that moment when someone across the bar puts your favorite song on the jukebox? That’s us.

But we're much more than jukeboxes. We're evolving our mobile experience, expanding our entertainment portfolio, and operating nearly 100,000 connected devices across North America and Europe. It’s an exciting time to join a company that combines technology, entertainment, and real-world experiences.

We foster open communication and collaboration at every level. Our leaders are approachable, different perspectives are valued, and people are empowered to take ownership, learn, and grow.

Our perks and benefits

Hybrid flexibility: Enjoy a hybrid schedule with up to 50% work-from-home time, plus the opportunity to work from anywhere in the world for up to two months per year.

Financial wellness: Annual performance bonus, long-term company bonus, 401(k) matching, and life insurance.

Comprehensive benefits: Competitive health insurance and disability coverage, a Lifestyle Spending Account, access to telemedicine, and an unlimited sick days policy.

Professional development: Keep growing through hands-on learning, an e-learning platform, tuition reimbursement, and peer mentorship.

An accessible workplace: We’re committed to creating an inclusive environment designed to accommodate people with disabilities.

Work requirements

  • Ability to analyze information, identify patterns, and apply sound reasoning to resolve account issues
  • Ability to clearly understand and communicate written and verbal information
  • Ability to perform primarily sedentary work, frequently using a computer (requiring visual acuity and fine motor skills) and telephone (talking/hearing)
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
