Job description

The Cognizant Workday Practice Regional Sales Manager is a crucial member of our regional sales team, reporting to our Vice President of Sales for our SLED practice. As the Regional Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for setting and executing the sales strategy for our largest clients in the region, selling Workday professional services and implementation, and creating pipeline. The right person will be passionate about our mission, highly strategic and competitive by nature, and understand how to partner with stakeholders to gain the best results for the clients and our business.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop/plan your sales strategy and effectively position the Cognizant's services for Workday implementations
  • Cultivate relationships with Workday personnel and develop in-person relationships with all in-region field offices
  • Develop and Maintain relationships with Workday Account Executives and Business Development Managers
  • Run complex sales cycles managing prospects and internal staff, including leveraging Cognizant account teams
  • Manage deal cycles across all Clients.
  • Actively update pipeline to ensure management is aware of deal flow
  • Proactively create and maintain a 3X pipeline of deals to quota
  • Work with company counterparts to source and execute deals
  • Engage with clients and prospects to provide services
  • Organize and drive responses to RFPs and RFIs
  • Set strategy for deal success
  • Manage multiple, concurrent deal cycles maintaining accurate and timely client, pipeline, and forecast data
  • Manage a quarterly sales quota
  • Provide support for marketing activities and events
  • Work with the internal Delivery team to develop estimates for work and position us ahead of Cognizant competitors
  • Maintain accurate and up to date CRM information

Skills & Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience of exceptional track record selling software implementation services and/or software subscriptions for SaaS solutions or professional services (effective bookings and revenue attainment) for large global clients.
  • Experience in the higher education industry and understanding of market dynamics
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to present to all organization levels
  • Ability to work with clients and internal team members to estimate services needs
  • Ability to understand and effectively communicate the benefits of an on-demand/web services/ cloud multi-tenant architecture
  • Professional and/or personal alignment with local Workday sales colleagues
  • Familiarity with consultative selling methodologies and the ERP Cloud landscape
  • Experience with Excel, Word and PowerPoint as well as using SaaS applications
  • Ability to travel 25-50% to client and Workday locations for effective relationship development.
  • Other duties as assigned

Salary and Other Compensation
Applications will be accepted until 09/8/2026The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 - $195,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program , based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
