Job description

Provide senior-level administration, governance execution, and technical ownership across Microsoft 365 collaboration services, including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Viva. This role ensures collaboration platforms are scalable, governed, and optimized for Microsoft Copilot and AI-driven experiences, while reducing operational risk and improving user productivity.

Serve as the primary technical lead for collaboration workloads and ensure alignment with enterprise governance, compliance, and security standards.

Preferred location with hybrid work schedule: Kansas City, KS

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide senior-level administration and technical ownership of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Viva services
  • Design, configure, and manage Teams policies including meetings, calling, messaging, apps, and external access governance
  • Administer SharePoint and OneDrive architecture including permissions, storage management, site lifecycle, and information architecture
  • Establish, enforce, and continuously improve collaboration governance models including provisioning, naming standards, lifecycle controls, and access management
  • Develop and maintain automation for site, team, and workspace provisioning, lifecycle management, and decommissioning
  • Ensure collaboration platforms are properly configured to support Copilot functionality, including content structure, permissions alignment, and data accessibility
  • Oversee governance and lifecycle management of Teams-based Copilot agents and integrated applications
  • Analyze and optimize content organization to improve Copilot response accuracy and reduce data exposure risk
  • Troubleshoot complex collaboration and Copilot-related issues, including search, indexing, permissions, and content visibility challenges
  • Serve as Tier 3 escalation point for collaboration incidents, driving root cause analysis and long-term remediation
  • Partner with business stakeholders to drive adoption, ensure alignment with business needs, and promote effective use of collaboration tools
  • Create and maintain operational documentation, technical standards, governance policies, and runbooks
  • Identify opportunities to improve service performance, reduce support volume, and enhance user experience
  • Accurately document configurations, incidents, and changes within ticketing and change management systems
  • Perform other duties as assigned
