Job description

AbleLight is hiring an IDD Manager Residential Operations!

In this role, you would provide strong leadership/management to a team of Direct Support Professionals to make sure they are delivering person-centered care and services to those we support in our programs. We are looking for someone that can bring leadership skills to guide, mentor, train and lead the team to grow and flourish with the IDD community we serve. 

Requirements: 

  • High School diploma or above required
  • 2-3 years management experience
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clear driving record; must have cleared and approved criminal record check
  • Must have ability to travel among assigned sites; must be able to assist with a two-person lift of an adult; must be able to do frequent bending and lifting; and must be able to stand for eight (8) hours at a time.

Responsibilities:                          

  • Align the passion and talents of others and create a culture and environment where teams and individuals can thrive. Partner with operational leaders, human resources, quality, and nursing to:
    • Hire, welcome, onboard, and mentor new colleagues on the team.
    • Facilitate regular meetings and support required training needed to assure the support, quality, and compliance expectations doe the individual we support.
    • Develop the schedule for program DSPs and Lead DSPs as required.
    • Identify ways to remove barriers, achieve results, and achieve high levels of engagement.
    • Actively, and intentionally show recognition and appreciation for staff efforts.
  • Identify additional training and development needs for all staff as part of Quarterly Connections, coaching in the moment for performance.
  • Be the resource for any DSP and Lead DSP colleagues, persons we support, or parents & guardians in the home if local home efforts to resolve a topic are not successful.
  • Demonstrate positive leadership behaviors leading the way through individual behaviors & example to develop individuals, empower teams, and promote collaboration.                             
  • Effectively engage in the admission of individuals supported with the completion of Person Focused Worksheet (PFW), individual support plans (ISP / PSP) documentation and any other required procedures and documentation.
  • Complete required Medicaid redeterminations and renewal submissions.
  • Positively influence the program with a focus on budget and metrics to grow residential services and to achieve our balanced scorecard results by maintaining a strong and collaborative working partnership with all colleagues, leadership, PWS, and parents & guardians.
  • Ensure standard AbleLight operating procedures and any related state and local regulations and expectations are implemented consistently and in collaboration with operational leaders and colleagues across the homes in your area of accountability.
  • Manage facilities and property through regular home inspections and vehicle maintenance.
  • Complete all individual training and development and manage the training compliance of direct reports required by local, state, federal and AbleLight policies and procedures.
  • Bring recommendations forward related to quality and process improvements for our employees and those we serve to enhance standard operating.            
  • Ensure timely, comprehensive, and objective documentation both personally and for direct reports through the review of entries into our health information technology, human resource technology.
  • Track, monitor and update Individual Support Plans (ISP/PSP) created in collaboration with the person we support, parents & guardians, external clinical or local/state representative & providers, internal partners in nursing and quality, and operational leadership.
  • Responsible for Parent Guardian communication and documentation.
  • Deliver person centered care and services to those we are blessed to serve.
