Company: Pyramid Transport & Cold Storage
Location: Bridgeville, DE (On-site)
Job Type: Full-Time
Department: Customer Operations / Logistics Support
About Us
Pyramid Transport & Cold Storage is a premier provider of temperature-controlled logistics and warehousing solutions. We pride ourselves on precision, reliability, and world-class service. Moving perishable goods requires absolute accuracy, and we are looking for a sharp, proactive professional to serve as the critical link between our warehouse floor, our executive leadership, and our high-profile commercial clients.
Position Overview
Are you a detail-oriented logistics professional who thrives on solving puzzles and keeping clients happy? As our Customer Service & Logistics Support Specialist, you will wear two vital hats: managing premier client accounts and spearheading our OS&D (Over, Short, and Damaged) and cargo claims process.
This is not a basic call-center role. You will be deeply embedded in our operations-onboarding major cold-chain accounts, auditing inventory traceability, troubleshooting technical data flows with our IT leadership, and aggressively mitigating financial liabilities when shipping discrepancies happen.
What You'll Do Day-to-Day
- Master the OS&D & Claims Process: Take full ownership of all Over, Short, and Damaged (OS&D) reports. You will investigate freight discrepancies, review Bills of Lading (BOLs), audit temperature logs, and build the documentation needed to resolve cargo and warehouse claims.
- Own the Client Experience: Serve as the dedicated, primary point of contact for major commercial food and seafood clients. You'll handle their onboarding, manage master account documentation, and ensure their daily logistics needs are flawlessly met.
- Protect Inventory & Traceability: Coordinate specialized client tracking requests (such as multi-level Pallet ID tracking and Customer Lot Numbers) to satisfy strict regulatory requirements like FDA trace rules.
- Coordinate Scheduling: Partner closely with cold storage office personnel, warehouse managers, and external carriers to keep inbound/outbound schedules tight and enforce our delivery appointment windows.
- Drive Tech & Portal Adoption: Collaborate directly with our Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to iron out invoice flow glitches, create custom inventory reports, and onboard clients onto our digital customer portals.
What We Are Looking For
- Logistics & Warehousing Knowledge: Experience working in cold storage, 3PL (third-party logistics), trucking, or supply chain environments is highly preferred.
- Claims & Liability Savvy: A strong grasp of freight claims processes, carrier liability, and standard shipping documentation (BOLs, PODs, exceptions).
- Tech-Fluent: High proficiency with Salesforce, modern Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Google Workspace (you should be comfortable handling and mapping client spreadsheets).
- A Natural Problem Solver: You don't sweat a discrepancy. You enjoy digging into data, cross-referencing logs, and finding out exactly where a breakdown occurred.
- Excellent Communicator: You can explain a complex logistical issue or claims dispute clearly and professionally, whether you're talking to a driver, a high-value client, or our executive team.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary based on experience.
- Comprehensive benefits package (Medical, Dental, Vision).
- Paid time off and holiday pay.
- A tight-knit, collaborative team environment with room to grow.
