Step into a high-energy logistics role, coordinating trucking, streamlining loading operations, and ensuring every container, booking, and document is precise and on time from start to finish.
This job is primarily responsible for communicating and coordination with outside trucking operations from the facility to ports for accurate and on-time deliveries.
In this job, you will:
Actual responsibilities will vary depending on daily needs location(s) supported.
  • Coordinate with trucking companies for on-time delivery to ports.
  • Generate loading schedule and communicate with loading crews.
  • Verifying booking information is accurate and bookings are valid at ports.
  • Tracing containers to make sure they are received at port on correct booking number and vessel.
  • Entering empty container numbers from truckers into applicable system, e.g. Business Central.
  • Verification and printing BOL's and distribution to the loading crews.
  • Enter loading information and verifying stack information into applicable system, e.g. Business Central.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Here's what you'll need to be considered:
Education
Required -High school diploma or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education, training and working experience.
Preferred - Associate's Degree or equivalent.
Experience
Required - None
Preferred - Truck dispatching with transportation and logistics background.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Working knowledge and understanding of transportation, preferably within trucking industry.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of people within and outside the organization.
  • Good phone etiquette skills.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paces work environment.

Physical Demands & Requirements
Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Hearing. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.
The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes. The employee is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.

The expected base pay range for this role is:
$20.00 - $22.00
