Job description

STS Technical Services is hiring a Logistics Analyst / Project Coordinator in Melbourne, Florida. In this role, you will support the MLB Logistics Team by coordinating logistics projects, improving material flow to the production line, supporting Lean initiatives, tracking action items, and helping ensure project deadlines are met.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented logistics, business, or project support professional with strong communication skills, Microsoft Office experience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Position Summary
The Logistics Analyst / Project Coordinator supports the Logistics Team with a concentration on Engineering and Lean concepts. This role gathers and coordinates the use of equipment, resources, and information needed to implement upcoming projects for the MLB Logistics Team.
Main duties include improving material flow to the production line, organizing and participating in meetings, identifying action item owners, supporting project implementation, ensuring deadlines are met, and presenting project status to the Logistics Team and upper leadership as requested.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Participate in project design meetings and propose improvements when necessary
  • Coordinate and execute team goals and project schedules
  • Contribute to current projects while helping team members keep workflow on track
  • Evaluate potential problems and technical constraints
  • Support the development of solutions in accordance with available resources and due dates
  • Coordinate project-related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials and presentations are current, properly filed, and stored
  • Organize project correspondence by preparing and reviewing project proposals, memos, meeting minutes, and emails
  • Communicate with other Logistics areas, always in coordination with the MLB Logistics Team
  • Identify and define project opportunities, requirements, scope, and objectives
  • Support the Logistics Team as a possible point of contact
  • Communicate project status to all participants
  • Ensure standards and requirements are met
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education
  • BS degree in an engineering or business-related field preferred
  • Candidates with more than half of the coursework completed toward an engineering or business-related degree may also be considered

Experience
  • Generally, 1 to 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a related position

  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
