Job description

55+ year established fastener manufacturer and distributor seeks and experienced Cold Heading Machine Operator.

Duties Include:

  • Set up and operate cold heading machines and other equipment in the manufacture of screws per drawing and specifications.
  • Perform daily maintenance on equipment and keep equipment clean and work area orderly.
  • Perform regular quality checks and document results when required using gauges, precision measuring devices and visual inspection.
  • Manually handle parts in process.
  • Participate as a trainer when necessary

Qualifications:

  • Mechanical ability and knowledge of tools, dies and machinery.
  • Cold Heading Operating experience preferred
  • Well versed in reading blueprints, using measuring devices such as micrometer, caliper.
  • Basic reading, writing and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working independently and in a team environment.
