Job description

A Cold Header Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining cold heading machines to produce metal parts, ensuring quality and efficiency in the manufacturing process.


This position starts between $28-$35 per hour based on experience.


Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Set up and operate cold heading machines to form metal parts through a forging process. This includes changing dies, punches, tooling. Must be able to adjust feed, cut off, transfer and forming stations.

• Quality Control: Perform quality checks on produced parts, ensuring they meet specified tolerances and standards. This may involve using gauges and other measurement tools.

• Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance on machines, including lubricating parts, making minor repairs, and notifying maintenance personnel of any major issues.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production output, machine settings, and any issues encountered during operation.

• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.


Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent.

• Experience: Preferred experience with SACMA, must be able to do complete set ups, adjust and troubleshoot machines.
