Location: Detroit, MI
Shift: 1st Shift, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
Pay: $20/hr
Job Summary
We are hiring a Machine Operator in Detroit, MI, for a growing manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for operating grinding equipment, loading scrap materials, maintaining cleanliness in the work area, and supporting production operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who is dependable and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Load plastic and foam scrap parts into grinding machines
• Unload scrap bags from trucks
• Assist with general warehouse and production cleanup
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Follow all safety and production procedures
• Perform additional duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
• Prior warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to stand throughout the entire shift
• Comfortable bending, kneeling, twisting, and reaching regularly
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Skills & Competencies:
• Ability to work independently
• Comfortable working in a loud and dirty manufacturing environment
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain productivity
• Strong attention to safety and cleanliness
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and move scrap bags weighing approximately 15 lbs
• Ability to remain on your feet for the duration of the shift
