The Supply Chain Management (SCM) Key Account Analyst is responsible for managing demand planning, inventory optimization, and customer collaboration in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role serves as the primary liaison between our company, its affiliates, and key customers, ensuring on-time delivery, efficient order fulfillment, and alignment with food safety and regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Customer Collaboration

  • Work closely with key retailers, distributors, and food service partners to understand demand fluctuations, seasonal trends, and promotional activities.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for customer supply chain teams, addressing order issues, forecasts, and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Strengthen relationships with customers through data-driven collaboration.

Demand Planning & Forecasting

  • Analyze sales data, historical trends, and market insights to improve forecast accuracy and reduce spoilage disposal.
  • Utilize demand planning tools and ERP systems to optimize production planning and raw material procurement.
  • Analyze customer point-of-sales and inventory data to improve demand forecasting, reducing stockouts, and optimizing inventory levels.

Order & Inventory Management

  • Ensure on-time and in-full (OTIF) order fulfillment by coordinating with production, logistics, and warehouse teams.
  • Balance inventory levels across distribution centers to prevent stockouts while minimizing spoilage and obsolescence.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to align raw material supply with customer demand for product launching and discontinuation.
  • Partner with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to ensure optimal inventory levels, efficient distribution, and on-time deliveries.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure adherence to food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA, FSMA) and customer-specific requirements.
  • Partner with quality assurance teams to proactively address product quality issues, shelf-life considerations, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Implement best practices for cold chain logistics and ensure food products maintain quality and compliance standards throughout the supply chain.

Performance Tracking & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor key supply chain metrics, including fill rate, forecast accuracy, and lead times.
  • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, or inventory management in the food manufacturing industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JDA, etc.), and forecasting tools.
  • Knowledge of food industry compliance standards and supply chain best practices, with strong communication, problem-solving skills, and experience in a customer-facing supply chain role preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
  • This is a full-time, on-site position located at our Buena Park office. Remote or hybrid work options are not available.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with cold chain logistics and perishable goods planning.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau for performance reporting.
