To thrive as a Coffee Educator, you need in-depth knowledge of coffee origins, brewing methods, sensory evaluation, and experience in training or hospitality, often supported by certifications such as SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) credentials. Familiarity with espresso machines, grinders, pour-over equipment, and training platforms is essential. Exceptional communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills set top candidates apart in engaging and educating both staff and customers. These abilities ensure a Coffee Educator can effectively convey complex concepts and elevate coffee standards in diverse settings.
