Plumbing Service Manager


ProTech Plumbing – Macon, Georgia


Pay Range $80,000-$90,000 + Great Bonus Opportunity!


Introduction


Join ProTech Plumbing, a growing and trusted plumbing company serving the Byron, Georgia market, as our next Plumbing Service Manager. This key leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily service operations, driving department performance, developing technicians, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.


We are looking for a strong leader who thrives in accountability, operational excellence, team development, and building a high-performing service department.


This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced plumbing professional ready to lead from the front and help drive continued growth.


Key Responsibilities


Lead and oversee daily operations of the plumbing service department

Manage, coach, develop, and hold accountable plumbing technicians and support staff

Oversee service warehouse operations including inventory management, purchasing, truck stock, and material control

Partner with dispatch and customer service teams to maximize scheduling efficiency and revenue opportunities

Drive departmental KPIs including revenue per technician, close rate, average ticket, and customer satisfaction scores

Ensure compliance with plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company operational standards

Monitor fleet readiness, equipment availability, inventory levels, and technician efficiency

Oversee departmental budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial performance

Resolve escalated customer concerns quickly and professionally

Work closely with leadership, sales, and marketing teams to help grow service demand and department profitability

Implement technician training, coaching, and performance improvement plans

Track service performance metrics and continuously improve operational processes

Build and maintain strong vendor and supplier relationships

Ensure proper licensing compliance and operational standards are consistently maintained

Required Qualifications


Minimum 10 years of plumbing industry experience

Strong understanding of residential plumbing service operations

Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, safety standards, and industry best practices

Experience managing service technicians and leading performance accountability

Experience managing inventory, purchasing, warehouse operations, and fleet coordination

Experience managing departmental budgets and P&L performance

Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills

Valid driver’s license

Highly Preferred


Journeymen Plumbing License

Prior home service management experience

Experience with performance-driven service organizations

Experience leading high-volume plumbing service teams

Familiarity with service management software platforms

HVAC industry experience is a plus but not required
