Job description

  Category-defining tech. Career-defining work.

The next era of software won't operate at human scale. Applications will create applications. Systems will coordinate with systems. Data and decisions will move faster than teams can react to them. The infrastructure powering that world cannot be fragile, reactive, or limited by the assumptions of the past. Cockroach Labs exists to build what comes next - before the world requires it.

We created CockroachDB to survive failures, scale without compromise, and adapt to changing conditions automatically. Now we're helping define a future where complexity fades into the background and infrastructure simply works, no matter the scale.

This is the kind of challenge that attracts people who want to shape industries, not just participate in them. The work is ambitious, the standards are high, and the impact is real.

About the Role

At Cockroach Labs, recruiters are talent advisors, embedded partners to the business who shape hiring strategy, influence decisions, and raise the bar on how we scale our teams. We're looking for a Recruiter to own the end-to-end process for mid-level roles across the GTM organization. You'll run structured processes, close strong candidates in a competitive market, and be a genuine strategic partner to your hiring managers. To be eligible, you must be based in Austin, TX.

This role will begin as a contract position with the potential to convert to full-time.

What You'll Do
  • Own full-cycle searches across mid-level GTM roles, from intake through close
  • Build consultative partnerships with hiring managers - set expectations, share market data, and push back when needed
  • Source proactively beyond inbound across LinkedIn, referrals, talent mapping, and community channels
  • Design and run structured, competency-based interview processes and keep debriefs moving toward decisions
  • Hold a high bar on candidate experience at every stage
  • Bring AI tools into your workflow where they create real leverage
What We're Looking For
  • 2-4 years of full-cycle recruiting experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise tech
  • Proven track record hiring GTM roles in a competitive market
  • Strong proactive sourcing skills, especially for high-velocity pipelines
  • Data-informed - you know your funnel and use it to drive better conversations
  • Clear, direct communicator with hiring managers and candidates alike
  • Familiarity with Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter, and modern sourcing tools
  • Based in Austin, TX
