Job description

Conformal Coat Operator – 1st Shift

Direct Hire Opportunity | $22.00/hr | Maple Grove, MN

ITAR Facility | Electronic Assembly Coatings

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled Conformal Coat Operator with hands-on spray experience to support high-reliability electronics production. You will help ensure coating quality and protection for mission-critical components.

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

What You’ll Do (Required Skills)

• Mask off using precise measurements, mix, and apply conformal coating and silicone using spray equipment and PVA machinery

• Perform controlled hand spraying while wearing a respirator, following all safety procedures

• Inspect and touch up coatings under black light UV inspection to ensure coverage and compliance

• Apply coatings to flexible assemblies and support potting operations using Asymtek equipment

• Read work instructions, follow ESD handling practices, and document results

• Maintain a clean, organized, and FOD-free work area

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum 1 year experience in spray application, masking, or conformal coating

• Ability and willingness to wear a respirator for the duration of spray tasks

• Ability to read and follow blueprints, travelers, and process documentation

• IPC-A-610 Certification (or ability to certify at hire)

• Must pass respirator fit test, medical evaluation, and visual/color vision screening

• High School Diploma or equivalent
