Slitter Operator – 1st Shift

Pay: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour (DOE)

Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Schedule:

Monday – Thursday: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Friday: 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Location: Roseville, MN

Position Overview

We are seeking a Slitter Operator to join our Converting team in a fast-paced label and packaging manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for operating slitting equipment used to convert finished materials into customer-ready products while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and efficiency.

Candidates with experience in slitting, laminating, coating, or other web handling processes are highly encouraged to apply. However, we are willing to train the right individual with strong machine operating experience and mechanical aptitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate slitting equipment for label and packaging production
  • Support laminating, coating, and other converting processes as needed
  • Load materials and prepare machines for production runs
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain product quality
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet customer specifications
  • Read and follow work orders, production schedules, and operating procedures
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report maintenance concerns
  • Complete production documentation and material tracking accurately
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all company safety and quality standards

Qualifications

Required

  • Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Preferred

  • Experience operating slitting equipment
  • Experience with laminating, coating, or other converting processes
  • Experience with web handling equipment
  • Printing, converting, packaging, or label manufacturing experience
  • Basic troubleshooting and machine setup experience

Training is available for candidates with relevant machine operating experience and a strong mechanical background.
