Position Overview

Leidos is seeking energetic, motivated, self-starters for these technically sophisticated and challenging cybersecurity engineering positions. Cybersecurity Co-ops may develop complex, defensive cybersecurity solutions for trainer systems and their development environments, and assess and upgrade Linux servers and workstations. All work is performed and executed in a Linux OS environment. All work is directly applicable to actual military training systems. Co-op students will gain invaluable, real-world experience on state-of-the‑art computer-based systems. This co‑op rotation will start in January 2027 and conclude in August 2027. Subsequent co‑op rotations are available for those who require multiple co‑op experiences.

Basic Qualifications:
  • You will be participating in the development of large scale computer based training systems and you MUST be able to learn and apply advanced cybersecurity engineering skills and techniques.
  • You MUST be able to work in a fast paced, team oriented enviroment.
  • You MUST be available to work at least 7 months full time as a co‑op.
Education:

You MUST be Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical degree, have at least a 3.2 GPA, and be able to demonstrate solid Linux system and defensive cybersecurity skills.

Citizenship:

You MUST have U.S. Citizenship and be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government granted security clearance. Employment is contingent on receiving an interim Secret security clearance.

Experience:

No past experience is required, however you will be working in a professional environment and contributing to systems that will be used throughout the U.S. Navy. Therefore, you must be dedicated to producing quality work results, and must be extremely attentive to detail.

Pay Range $48,100.00 - $86,950.00
