Job description

CNA – Certified Nursing Assistant (Contract)

Location: Portland, OR 97216
Contract Duration: 13 weeks

  • Pay: $788 – $898/week

  • Schedule: 1st shift, 12-hour day shift

    • Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

    • Floating: Occasional float to Medical and Tele units

    • Call: Not required

Position Summary & Responsibilities
  • Provide ADL care (bathing, feeding, hygiene, mobility, elimination, positioning) under RN supervision

  • Obtain and report vital signs and patient status changes

  • Support patient safety, restorative care, and basic unit workflow/clerical tasks

Requirements
  • Active CNA certification (required)

  • BLS (AHA or ARC required)

  • High school diploma/GED preferred

  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts and float as needed

  • Must meet facility vaccination requirements (medical/religious exemptions may apply)

Facility Overview
  • 29-bed post-surgical unit (single rooms)

  • Staffing ratio: 1:4–1:5

  • Epic documentation / Omnicell system

  • 24/7 pharmacy, hospitalist, phlebotomy, and unit secretary support

  • No lift team; mobility support team available

  • Navy blue scrubs required
