Hill International is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer in Glen Burnie, Maryland to support a long-term Construction Management and Inspection contract, providing on-site oversight to ensure construction activities meet quality, schedule, and documentation requirements. The role focuses on daily coordination with inspection teams and contractors on a complex, active facility project.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in project engineering or management, construction management, or engineering related roles
  • Previous project experience on Airport construction or similar, such as construction around active, secure and operational and public buildings; roads/paving
  • PE, CCM, PMP, EIT, CMIT industry credentials preferred

The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000. The salary offered will be based on the applicant's qualifications, education, experience and work location.

  • Support a multi-year CMI contract
  • Document daily construction activities in accordance with owner's requirements
  • Review and ensure accuracy of inspection reports
  • Coordinate daily with inspection staff to maintain quality assurance
  • Continuously monitor contractor progress, including:
    • Materials incorporated into the work
    • Materials stored on-site
    • Contractor manpower and equipment
  • Coordinate with contractor supervisors on work sequencing, schedule, and methods
  • Assign inspection personnel daily to ensure adequate coverage of construction operations
  • Attend weekly, monthly and special project meetings as required
