Job description

Job location: Canyon Fuel Company, LLC - Sufco MineResponsibilities Include:Plans, directs and monitors all activities for continuous miner sections including equipment rebuild, replacement, and PM Service of all section equipment. Coordinates support of CM sections, maintenance and outby crews with appropriate mine management.Responsible for attaining optimum level of operating and cost efficiency for CM Section activities. Recommends and implements improvements in equipment and maintenance methods.Conducts meetings and organizes training to improve overall CM Equipment performance. Sets goals, priorities, and standards through communication and cooperation with all departments.Responsible for recommending CM Section equipment selection/modifications. Will play an active role in contracts, equipment specifications, warranties and price negotiations.Approves CM Section material and supply orders to an authorized approval level.Coordinate CM Section maintenance with the maintenance department and shift coordinators to minimize down time.Implements all safety policies and procedures related to an injury free work environment.Develops, implements, and monitors cost reduction plans and productivity improvements.Develop and implement the predictive and preventative maintenance programs for CM Section equipment.Preferred Education & Experience:Demonstrated successful underground coal mining supervisory experienceTen years underground mining experience with a diverse background in longwall, CM operations and general mine workB.S.
