What is a Cloud Business Analyst?

A Cloud Business Analyst is a professional who analyzes and evaluates business processes to help organizations leverage cloud computing technologies effectively. They bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders by gathering requirements, assessing cloud solutions, and recommending strategies for migration or optimization. Their role often involves cost-benefit analysis, identifying suitable cloud services, and ensuring that cloud initiatives align with business goals. Cloud Business Analysts also help in managing change, training staff, and monitoring the success of cloud adoption.

How does a Cloud Business Analyst typically collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders during a cloud migration project?

A Cloud Business Analyst acts as a bridge between business units and IT teams during cloud migration projects. They facilitate requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders from different departments, ensuring business needs are clearly understood by the technical teams. Throughout the project, they communicate progress, clarify requirements, and help resolve any misunderstandings or misalignments. Their role often includes translating technical jargon for non-technical stakeholders and ensuring that the final cloud solution aligns with strategic business objectives while being technically feasible.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Cloud Business Analyst, and why are they important?
