Job description

Job Title: Sales Associate: Custom Specialist
Location: LABEL, Soho, New York City
Reports to: Sales Manager

LABEL is seeking a results-oriented "hunter" to drive direct sales, acquire clients, and build a robust pipeline in the custom clothing industry. We value accountability, ambition, and a commitment to hitting measurable sales targets.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead Generation: Proactively self-source new clients via cold calling, email, and social media. Consistently meet appointment-setting and revenue goals.
  • Sales Appointments: Conduct sales appointments with professionals, including business executives and entrepreneurs, in our LABEL showroom or at other convenient locations.
  • Client Management: Build long-term relationships through personalized follow-ups, regular communication, and meticulous CRM record-keeping.
  • Operations: Ensure timely, accurate order submissions and collaborate with the team to optimize sales workflows.

The Candidate Trial Phase (Pre-Hire):ย To ensure a mutual fit, top-tier candidates complete a two-week, 10-hour paid working trial. You will manage your own outreach schedule independently within this window to execute the following:

  • Initial Training (3 hours): Learn the essentials of LABELโ€™s service, client profile, and appointment-setting strategies.
  • Execution (7 hours): Build a target list of 50-100+ high-quality leads and initiate outreach. You book the meeting; a LABEL Mentor conducts the appointment. Proof of work (prospecting/outreach) is required.
  • Assessment: We evaluate your activity level, coachability, professional communication, and ability to create urgency. Candidates must generate $3,000 or more in sales during this phase to advance.

Training & Certification (Once Hired):ย Following a successful trial, you will complete a structured two-three month training program to master LABELโ€™s sales processes, product knowledge, and measuring techniques. Successful completion of the final certification test is required to begin selling independently.

Attributes We Value:ย

  • Hunter Mentality: Motivated by pursuing leads, closing deals, and exceeding targets.
  • Accountable & Ambitious: Take ownership of results with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Professional & Detailed: Exhibit a polished demeanor with accuracy in every detail.
  • Personable: Natural ability to connect with clients and foster trust.
  • Coachable: Value personal growth and open to feedback.

What Weย Are Looking For:

  • 1-2 years of experience in sales, cold calling, or customer service preferred.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Successful completion of the two-week paid trial.

Why LABEL? Join a rapidly growing custom clothing brand that combines a decade of experience with startup energy. We offer extensive training, unlimited career growth opportunities, competitive compensation, and full benefits in a dynamic, results-driven culture.

LABEL is committed to rewarding top talent with competitive compensation, full benefits, and a focus on professional development. If youโ€™re looking for a role where you can grow as fast as the brand, be part of something transformational, and help shape the future of custom clothing, LABEL is the place for you!

Compensation: A $42,000 minimum income guarantee in the first year (as training assistance pay) with uncapped commission potential. After year one, your income is entirely performance-driven. With the right drive and determination, the skyโ€™s the limitโ€”your success is in your hands!
