Job description

Position Overview
The Clinical Manager provides the overall management and supervision of the clinical supervisors. The position also provides ongoing support, education, and evaluation of the clinical staff. Works with team members to ensure that patient and staff assignments are appropriate to meet patient goals.
To maintain operational efficiency and ensure the team's success, adding a Clinical Manager depends on the fulfillment of specific criteria related to location size and patient volume.  The addition of a Clinical Manager must be approved by the Regional President of Operations and Regional Vice President of Clinical Operations. 
Essential Job Functions
Assign patients to the Clinical Supervisors by considering factors that impact efficiencies of care delivery and the support of Clinical Supervisor role.
Educate clinical team on professional standards, state rules and regulations, and company policies, procedures, and processes.
Availability to take on-call duties as assigned, demonstrating a commitment to providing timely and responsive patient care whenever needed. 
Uphold and promote adherence to CHAP (Community Health Accreditation Program) standards, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and compliant nursing services.
Contribute to retention initiatives by fostering a supportive, engaging work environment, and providing valuable insights to enhance caregiver satisfaction and longevity within the organization.
Assume responsibility in coordinating care to assigned patients, establishing a goal directed care plan from admission to discharge which includes a comprehensive ongoing assessment of patient needs.
Monitor staffing patterns of all patients in collaboration with operational team to promote acceptable staffing levels.
Perform on-site supervisory visits to assess patient, family, environment, and clinical staff and complete follow-up documentation.
Ensure availability and proper operation of necessary equipment and supplies related to patient care.
Ability to assess clients and provide direct patient care as needed.
Evaluate new referrals for admissions with recommendations for nursing care, as directed by the Clinical Director
Promote positive customer satisfaction within the internal and external teams.
Analyze and report clinical data and relevant findings that could provide opportunities to improve patient outcomes or mitigate risk.  
Provide clinical updates to external case managers and discharge planners and obtain re-authorization for continued care.
Provide ongoing supervision, orientation, training, education, and evaluation of clinical staff.
Adhere to professional practice standards within the organization.
Contribute to nursing education and professional development of staff, students, and colleagues.
Participate in employment decisions affecting clinical staff, including hiring and termination as appropriate.
Maintain compliance in accordance with company policies and procedures, laws and regulations, and professional standards within the state of practice.
Participate in problem identification and problem resolution ensuring that all reporting is completed within designated time frames as mandated by state rules and regulations, as well as company policy.
Maintain a professional demeanor consistent with registered nurse standards of practice.
Adhere to ethical principles and foster a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory attitude.
Participate in after-hours calls, as needed.
Promote an environment of quality and safe patient care.
Serves as the clinical lead in the absence of the Clinical Director.
Requirements
Diploma, Associate, or bachelor’s degree in nursing from state accredited RN program
Clinical or other work experience as per state and/or federal laws and regulations
RN licensure in designated states as appropriate
Valid Driver’s license and Acceptable MVR
Preferences
Two (2) years’ experience as a Clinical Supervisor and ability to effectively administer a private duty program.

Must have a strong sense of smell and touch.
Must be able to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance.
Must be able to appropriately respond physically and mentally to emergency situations in the home or during transport.
Occasional rapid movement and physical agility in response to the spontaneity of children and those patients with neurological impairment
Environment
Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions.
