Clinical Director

Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is an integrated behavioral healthcare agency offering a variety of different programs throughout Arizona. CBI provides residential, outpatient, inpatient, patient-centered medical homes, medication-assisted treatment, and crisis services to individuals experiencing crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness.

CBI is the premiere non-profit fully integrated healthcare provider of substance use and behavioral health programs in Arizona, including prevention, education and treatment using cutting-edge, nationally recognized, evidence-based models.

Job Summary

A Community Bridges Inc., (CBI) Clinical Director is a licensed behavioral health professional who has met all credentialing requirements and is in good standing with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.  Independently licensed behavioral health professionals should be able to provide clinical supervision, as define by 4 A.A.C 6, to the licensed clinical staff to whom he/she is assigned. The Clinical Director is responsible to provide clinical supervision to both assigned licensed and non-licensed clinical staff members in accordance with the Arizona Administrative Code to ensure that clinical staff members are familiar with the Evidenced Based Practices and CBI Clinical Policy and Procedure.  The Clinical Director is also responsible to deliver required clinical trainings during New Employee orientation (NEO) as well as periodically throughout the year.  Additionally, the Clinical Director works with the Director of Crisis Services to develop clinical trainings based on identified needs with the goal of improving clinical competencies and service delivery among clinical staff members.  The Clinical Director is familiar with and conducts ongoing research to identify Evidence Based Practices of integrated, clinical programming to implement within each level of care within CBI’s system of care.  The Clinical Director conducts periodic fidelity audits to ensure that clinical staff are maintaining fidelity to approved Evidenced Based Practices within each clinical program.  The Clinical Director conducts scheduled clinical staffing's as well as unscheduled clinical consultation to assigned clinical teams, including during on-call shifts, to provide guidance and direction in accordance with CBI Clinical Policy and Procedure as well as with contractual, state and Federal requirements and ethical standards.  The Clinical Director works directly with the Director of Crisis Services and Clinical Operations team to ensure that clinical programming and services are effective and efficient in addressing patient/participant and community needs as well as are delivered in accordance with CBI Clinical Policy and Procedure, Arizona Administrative Code, ADHS/DBHS Provider Manual, Code of Federal Regulations and contract requirements.


Education and Experience Required

  • Master’s degree in field related to behavioral health and/or has been licensed at the associate level with The Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as Psychiatrist, Behavioral Health Medical practitioner, Psychologist, Social worker, Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Substance Abuse Counselor or Registered Nurse required. 
  • 1-3 years of full-time Behavioral Health Care related work experience where his or her prior experience would provide adequate exposure to both behavioral and medical crisis situations is preferred but not required.
  • Licensure at the Associate or Independent level with The Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as Psychologist, Social worker, Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist or Substance Abuse Counselor is required.
  • Courtesy Clinical Supervisor Continuing Education Review Letter from the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners current for each renewal period.
  • Fingerprint clearance card required.
  • Current AZ Driving License.
  • Clear 39-month motor vehicle record.
