Job description

Job SummaryWe are seeking a strategic, relationship-driven sales leader to oversee and accelerate our acquisition growth strategy within the Fee Only Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) marketplace. As SVP, Business Development (BridgePort), you will identify, evaluate, and execute acquisition and partnership opportunities that expand our national presence and grow our long-term enterprise value. This senior executive will lead the M&A lifecycle-from sourcing and financial modeling through due diligence, and negotiation, while collaborating closely with the executive team to shape corporate strategy and ensure seamless RIA/Investment Advisor onboarding.Key Deliverables and Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end execution of RIA-focused M&A initiatives, including sourcing, evaluation, structuring, negotiation, and closing of acquisitions and strategic partnerships.

  • Develop and manage a high-quality pipeline of fee-only RIA opportunities by leveraging market intelligence and cultivating relationships across RIA, custody, aggregator, and banking channels.

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive efficient, compliant deal execution, ensuring alignment with strategic, operational, and regulatory requirements.

  • Oversee financial models, valuation analyses, and performance assessments with the Finance team to inform investment decisions and long-term value creation.

  • Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and advisor business models to identify growth opportunities and enhance acquisition strategy.

  • Drive enterprise alignment with internal functions and acquired RIAs to support a smooth, coordinated integration and an effective onboarding strategy

  • Serve as a liaison between acquisitions, conversion teams, and key departments to ensure alignment and timely resolution of integration needs

  • Facilitate cross-functional due diligence across finance, legal, compliance, operations, IT, and HR to evaluate fit, risks, and integration requirements.

  • Present strategic recommendations and transaction updates to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.

  • Partner with internal leaders to design integration strategies that ensure advisor onboarding success and drive long-term value realization.

  • Cultivate strong relationships with RIA aggregators, custodians, intermediaries, investment bankers, and other key industry partners.

  • Represent the firm externally and leverage industry insights to reinforce our position as an industry leader.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have advanced experience, generally 10+ years, in business development, M&A, and corporate development within the retail RIA or wealth management business channels.

Salary Range:$150,000 - $200,000 plus incentive compensation based on successful acquisitions. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate based on the ideal candidate's qualifications, the company's operational needs, and other factors permitted by law. Actual compensation may vary depending on experience, skills, education, performance, internal equity, and geographic location.

Work Environments: This role offers a hybrid schedule, requiring three days weekly in the office. Applicants should be located near one of our hubs (Fairfield, IA or Phoenix, AZ) and must be willing to work this schedule.
