Budgets & Contracts Manager

The Budgets & Contracts Manager primary role is to analyze operational and financial data, improve contracting process and contribute to overall effectiveness improvement of the financial and operations health of DMCR.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Review CRO/Sponsor budgets and contracts to the study-specific budget parameters
  • Negotiate and review contract amendments and letters
  • Develop and maintain various financial KPIs for maintaining budget decision logs
  • Oversee the internal contract execution process, including but not limited to signatures and uploading to the contract management system and other specified areas
  • Develop and enhance relationships with internal clients, internal stakeholders, vendors, and sites and effectively communicate with them
  • Ensure that internal systems, folders, and reports are updated in a timely, accurate, and complete manner
  • Any other matter as assigned by management
Knowledge & Experience

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or a related field required

  • 2+ years of financial planning experience or budget development and contract negotiation required
  • Experience with clinical budgeting and contracting at a biopharmaceutical company, CRO, or clinical site is preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • The ability to mitigate and drive solutions regarding site budgeting challenges
  • Critical thinking and analysis skills to identify and implement best practices and contribute to continuous improvement for site budgeting and contracting
  • Ability to handle a large volume of assignments while effectively dealing with ambiguity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to participate in cross-functional teams of peers and vendors
