Job description

Purpose:

The Clinic Coordinator provides general administrative and clerical assistance and support for the clinic. Greets, registers, checking-in and scheduling patient appointments. Provides Neighborcare information to patients. Works in partnership and joint accountability with other team members to achieve Neighborcareโ€™s Mission, Guiding Principles and goals.

This is a full-time position with a weekly schedule of Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5pm. The Ballard Medical Clinic services are for adults (ages 18+) who are currently experiencing homelessness, experienced homelessness in the past year, or do not have stable, safe, permanent, or place to live. Services available include: medical care, mental health counseling, case management, insurance eligibility, health education, social services referrals, and outreach.

  • The target wage range for this position is $24.48 per hour to $30.78 per hour.
  • Final offers are individually based on various factors, including skill set, years of experience, location, qualifications, work schedule and other job-related reasons.

In this position you will:

  • Prepare clinic to open and close for business in a timely manner, in accordance with the clinicโ€™s posted schedule
  • Check in patients and create charts: gather and update patient information
  • Answer telephones, schedule patient appointments, confirm appointments and transfer calls to appropriate staff member
  • Assist provider teams with paperwork, copying, faxing, etc.
  • Manage inventory of office supplies, including the ordering, receiving and stocking of supplies
  • Monitor referrals and communicate with referral team
  • Using EMR, send tasks and communications to provider team members
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Required: High School diploma or equivalent.
