Job description

Job Type
Full-time
Description
Role Overview:
SRS Real Estate Partners is looking for a Client Technology Manager to join its Client Technology team. This role is responsible for building and maintaining the customized database and mapping platforms that SRS brokers and their clients rely on to manage deals, track portfolios, and execute market strategy. Client Technology sits at the forefront of how SRS differentiates itself in the market, combining commercial real estate expertise with relational database design and GIS technology to deliver solutions that are actively used by brokers and clients across the country. The ideal candidate brings CRE industry knowledge, a strong understanding of how databases work, and the drive to contribute to a high-performing team that is continuously pushing the boundaries of what technology can do for our clients.
Primary Responsibilities
Database Management (50%)
• Build and maintain client-facing project databases using cloud-based relational database platforms, following department standards for structure, naming conventions, and automation.
• Support a portfolio of client database projects across Retail, Capital Markets, and Industrial service lines, ensuring data integrity and platform reliability.
• Implement formulas, automations, and interface configurations to customize the client experience within established templates.
• Troubleshoot database issues and execute solutions independently, escalating to senior team members when novel or complex problems arise.
• Communicate with brokers, team leaders, and client real estate managers to understand how deliverables will be used and by whom.
GIS / Mapping / Research Support (50%)
• Create and maintain interactive web maps and applications using Esri ArcGIS Online, including thematic maps, demographic layers, drive-time polygons, trade areas, and location/competition visualizations.
• Extract and organize demographic and market data from Esri, CoStar, Placer.AI, and other subscribed platforms for use in client deliverables.
• Support research requests from brokers and internal stakeholders, including property data, market comps, traffic counts, zoning, and ownership information.
• Maintain retailer location databases and market data sets used across the department's active project portfolio.
What You Need to Know Coming In
This role requires more than tool proficiency. The strongest candidates will have working knowledge of the following before their first day:
• How relational databases are structured: tables, fields, linked records, lookups, rollups, and the logic that connects them. Understanding why a database is designed a certain way matters more than knowing a specific tool.
• How GIS and spatial data work: coordinate systems, feature layers, attribute tables, and the relationship between a database record and a point on a map. ArcGIS Online experience is preferred; demonstrated Esri platform experience is required.
• Commercial real estate fundamentals: deal types (tenant representation, owner services, capital markets, net lease), how brokers operate, what clients track, and why project timelines and data accuracy matter.
Requirements
Requirements
• 5+ years of professional experience in GIS, database management, commercial real estate technology, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated proficiency with the Esri platform: ArcGIS Online, and/or ArcGIS Pro. Ability to build and maintain hosted feature layers and web maps.
• Working knowledge of relational database concepts.
• Familiarity with commercial real estate terminology, deal structures, and how brokerage teams operate. Prior experience at a CRE firm, title company, data provider, or proptech company is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data manipulation), PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities without compromising quality or timelines.
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with team members and brokers across the country.
Preferred but Not Required
• Direct database experience, particularly with interfaces, automations, and scripting extensions.
• Familiarity with AI tools and how they can be applied to data management workflows.
• Knowledge of demographic and consumer analytics platforms: Esri Tapestry segmentation, Placer.AI, CoStar, or ChainXY.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop) for custom map graphics.
• Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Urban Planning, Real Estate, or a related field.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
We succeed when our clients succeed. Our success is measured in the achievement of our clients' objectives, satisfaction, and trust.
• Integrity - We will not compromise our individual or corporate integrity for any reason
• Respect - We celebrate the intrinsic value of each person and embrace diverse perspectives
• Teamwork - Collective efforts provide extraordinary results
• Balance - A consistently productive team balances family, faith, community, and self
• Leadership - Continued success relies on our ability to attract and motivate leaders of character
