Description
The Business Technology Advisor (BTA) is a dynamic role focused on acquiring new clients through proactive networking, community events, trade shows, and participation in various associations. The BTA will guide prospective clients through the sales process, ensuring alignment with Mytech's managed services model.
The BTA will partner with Account managers to ensure a seamless transition from prospect to client, maintaining strong client relationships throughout. This role requires strong executive function and vision, anticipating client needs and aligning Mytech solutions to meet those needs. The BTA will bring the voice of each prospect and client into Mytech, ensuring our solutions and recommendations align with their business objectives. Operating autonomously 80%+ of the time, the BTA will also know when to involve other Mytech team members to maximize client success. This role is essential in fulfilling Mytech's mission of guiding clients to IT best practices, helping them plan for the future, and communicating the value of solutions that enhance productivity and growth.
Key Responsibilities
  • New Client Acquisition: Identify and acquire new clients without internal IT staff, engaging them with Mytech's value proposition.
  • Client Transition: Guide new clients through strategic IT planning and ensure a smooth transition to a BTM or Sr. BTM within 12 months.
  • Consultative Engagement: Proactively engage clients, understanding their business needs, and ensuring our solutions improve productivity and mitigate risks.
  • Voice of the Client: Bring client insights to Mytech to ensure our solutions align with their objectives and enhance their business operations.
  • Infrastructure Lifecycle Management: Ensure adherence to Mytech's best practices value map, setting up our service team for success.
  • Collaborative Decision Making: Operate autonomously 80%+ of the time, while knowing when to involve other Mytech team members such as Sr. sales team members, sales managers, GMs, Solution Architects, or owners.
  • Strategic Advisor: Fulfill the mission of Mytech by guiding clients to IT best practices, helping them budget and plan, and communicating the value of our solutions.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • 1-3 years of solutions sales experience required
  • Demonstrates the technical aptitude and an affinity and comfortability with learning and continuously learning how to articulate technical details and nuances such as hardware, software and networking systems, Office 365 product ecosystem, etc. required
  • Solid understanding of hosted solutions systems, including Azure Hosting Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and software as a service (SaaS) such as Microsoft Office 365 required
  • Proven experience with CRM tools essential to organizational communication required experience with ConnectWise a plus
  • Proven ability to learn and conduct high level business conversations around potential technology risks and gaps and aligning targeted outcomes with technical solutions with prospects required
  • Openness to learning how to communicate highly technical implementations with business executives in a proactive and strategic approach that helps solve business problems required
