The Substation Practice is seeking a Power Delivery Client Team Leader in Oregon or Washington to grow and lead client relationships within the power delivery market, including transmission, substation, distribution and electrical studies. This role is responsible for client ownership, market growth, and delivery excellence, while actively supporting business development and high-profile projects.

The Power Delivery CTL plays a critical role in expanding DEA's presence with public and investor-owned utilities and ensuring consistent, high-quality client experiences.

What You'll DoKey Responsibilities:

Client & Business Leadership

  • Own and grow key power delivery client relationships
  • Lead client teams and cross-business unit collaboration
  • Identify and pursue new transmission, substation, distribution and power delivery opportunities
  • Forecast sales, revenue, and staffing needs; manage client profitability
  • Support collections and project recovery efforts

Business Development & Strategy

  • Lead pursuit strategies, go/no-go decisions, and proposal development
  • Develop scopes of work, fee estimates, and contract terms
  • Assess market trends and client needs to guide growth strategy

Project Leadership

  • Serve as pursuit champion, Project Manager, or Principal-in-Charge
  • Provide technical and design leadership to project teams
  • Ensure adherence to quality, schedule, budget, and contractual requirements
  • Coordinate with Practice and Group Leaders to align resources
What You BringRequired Qualifications:
  • BS in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • 10+ years of experience in power delivery engineering
  • 5+ years in a client-facing business development role
  • Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong existing relationships with multiple electric utilities in the Pacific Northwest
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of experience
  • Experience with public and investor-owned utilities in the western U.S.
  • PMP certification
  • Experience with EPC or APD delivery models
