Strategy Insights & Planning Consultants deliver high-quality, insight-driven solutions to help clients solve complex business challenges. This role requires strong unstructured problem-solving skills, along with advanced analytical, research, synthesis, and communication capabilities. Consultants often work across multiple projects simultaneously and, over time, develop deep expertise within a specific industry, practice area, or client relationship.
A key focus of this role is leveraging market research and data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making, particularly within healthcare, life sciences, and related industries.
What You'll Do: Strategy Insights & Planning Consultant in the Insights & Analytics group will...
  • Partner with clients to design and implement strategies that enhance sales, marketing, and medical engagement across digital and in-person channels
  • Collaborate with project leadership to define project scope, structure problem-solving approaches, and develop actionable workplans
  • Lead project execution by managing timelines, organizing data, and coordinating team activities and client communications
  • Conduct structured issue analysis and develop hypotheses around key client business challenges
  • Design and execute primary and secondary market research studies, including:
    • Qualitative methods: in-depth interviews, focus groups, advisory boards
    • Quantitative methods: surveys, segmentation, conjoint analysis, and statistical modeling
  • Translate business questions into effective research designs and analytical frameworks
  • Analyze and synthesize data from multiple sources (market research, real-world data, secondary sources) to generate actionable insights
  • Develop clear, insight-driven recommendations and communicate findings to clients and internal stakeholders, with a focus on business impact
  • Provide thought leadership and innovative approaches to problem-solving within project teams and across practice areas
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal development and client presentations
  • Contribute to internal firm initiatives and knowledge-building efforts
  • Mentor and coach junior team members, supporting their professional growth

What You'll Bring
  • MBA or advanced degree (or equivalent experience) in a quantitative or analytical discipline such as Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Data Science, Engineering, or similar. PhD in Marketing, Economics, Decision Sciences, or related field is also applicable
  • 2-5+ years of hands-on market research experience, ideally within pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences industries.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting both qualitative and quantitative research, including study design, execution, and insight generation
  • Strong analytical background with experience using tools such as R, SAS, Tableau, Excel/VBA, or similar
  • Experience translating market research findings into strategic business recommendations
  • High motivation, strong work ethic, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability (or strong interest) in leading and managing teams
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present insights to senior-level stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality deliverables
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
  • Strong client service orientation and ability to build relationships
