Overview of the Role

The Marketing Director leads the restaurant’s local marketing strategy, community engagement, events, social media, promotions, and sales-growth initiatives. This role requires a creative, organized, relationship-focused leader who can take ownership of projects from planning through execution while maintaining alignment with the Operator and leadership team.

  • Assist with day-to-day operations approximately 11 AM–2 PM
Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing & Brand Management
  • Develop and execute the marketing plan and budget in alignment with business goals and target audiences.
  • Oversee Spotlight and digital campaigns, promotions, and marketing analytics.
  • Ensure all POP, signage, reader boards, table numbers, promotional materials, flags, and seasonal décor are accurate, professional, and in place on time.
  • Approve social media posts, in-store promotions, and reader board messaging.
  • Order and maintain marketing supplies, including BOGs, Mini-Moos, stickers, gift cards, hats, giveaways, catering forms, and marketing request forms.
  • Maintain marketing files, documents, calendars, and records in OneDrive.
  • Assist Milan with annual and quarterly marketing goals and maintain vision alignment with the Operator and leadership team.
Social Media & Digital Marketing
  • Develop and execute social media strategy and content.
  • Capture photos and videos of guests, team members, events, and community involvement.
  • Work with the Social Media Specialist on content, website updates, events, trends, and sponsorship requirements.
  • Monitor and respond to social media messages and help manage the restaurant’s online reputation.
  • Review social media and marketing analytics and communicate results to Brandon and Milan biweekly or monthly.
Community Engagement & Events
  • Build and maintain relationships with local schools, churches, businesses, first responders, community organizations, and other partners.
  • Coordinate food and monetary donation requests and maintain records of community support.
  • Identify and coordinate outside community events, sponsorships, and partnerships, including golf tournaments, WinShape, school sponsorships, and other local opportunities.
  • Plan and execute in-store events such as Family Nights, First Responders Night, Daddy-Daughter Date Night, and other special events.
  • Support Chick-fil-A tentpole events such as Sunshine Days, Summer of Cows, and Seasons of Sharing.
  • Coordinate Chick-fil-A Cow scheduling for community and in-store events.
  • Communicate event needs with Milan, Brandon, scheduling, and truck leaders.
  • Coordinate holiday promotions, Christmas décor, flags, and other seasonal marketing initiatives.
Catering & Sales Growth
  • Drive catering and outside sales through proactive community and business engagement.
  • Assist with major catering events and partnerships, including Duke, Aisin, Pollywood, and other key accounts.
  • Manage catering order forms, pricing updates, scheduling, deliveries, training, systems, and processes.
  • Coordinate school deliveries, pricing, schools, and delivery drivers.
  • Work with Milan on major catering opportunities and strategies to grow sales.
Guest Experience & Team Engagement
  • Monitor CARES and guest call-in forms, communicate trends, and help resolve guest concerns.
  • Guest/CARES communication with Milan
  • Operations concerns with Latoya
  • People concerns with Brandon
  • Support team member engagement, celebrations, outings, retirements, Mother's Day, Father's Day, and other team initiatives.
  • Support sampling rollouts, market giveaways, App Scan motivation/scoring, and other guest engagement initiatives.
  • Assist with deliveries, trades, in-store needs, and major marketing events.
Organization & Follow-Through
  • Maintain the marketing budget and track spending.
  • Maintain records of community events, sponsorships, donations, campaigns, and past marketing initiatives.
  • Keep marketing and promotional materials stocked and professionally presented.
  • Maintain the conference room calendar and Operator Contest scoring.
  • Coordinate with the leadership team and complete additional responsibilities as needed to meet the needs of the position.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of marketing experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, time management, and leadership skills.
  • Creative, proactive, flexible, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-service oriented with a strong desire to create a positive community impact.
  • Ability to build relationships and recognize the strengths and passions of others.
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
