Client Services Specialist
Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc. (Legal Services), a top-rated non-profit law firm serving the South Florida poverty community, is seeking a highly motivated, Client Services Specialist.
Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Community Engagement and Intake Director, the Client Services Specialist performs the primary essential functions and responsibilities listed below.
  • Interview clients.
  • Serve as receptionist and/or operator based on program need.
  • Screen clients for eligibility.
  • Make referrals as appropriate.
  • Provide applicants with self-help educational material, and general information, as appropriate.
  • Assist at various clinics sponsored by the program.
  • Conduct intake at outreach sites as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Commitment to promoting the mission, vision, and values of Legal Services.
  • Ability to accurately screen applicants and make referrals.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with applicants, treat them with respect, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Effectively utilize the case management system.
  • Ability to communicate effectively on the telephone and take accurate messages.
  • Ability to willingly accept and carry out directions from supervisor.
  • Exhibit a spirit of teamwork and cooperation in completing job responsibilities.
  • Have a work record which reflects dependability including availability on a prompt and regular basis.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with technology.
  • Knowledge of Legal Server desirable.
  • Fluency in Spanish or Haitian Creole a plus.
  • Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills paired with a service-oriented attitude.

• Bachelor's degree required
Salary/ Benefits
Starting salary is $36,500 with no experience. Excellent fringe benefits, including 401(k) retirement plan, as well as life, health, and disability insurance.
