Overview
East West Bank is seeking a motivated FX Client Services (Operations) Associate to support post-trade foreign exchange activities. This role will assist with FX processing functions, including client support, foreign currency account onboarding, and settlement of interbank and customer trades. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of FX products and a strong attention to detail, with the ability to work across operational and client service functions in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
  • Support daily FX operational activities, including post-trade processing, settlements, confirmations, and reconciliations.
  • Process interbank and customer FX transactions in a timely and accurate manner, following established procedures and controls.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving FX trade exceptions, breaks, and settlement issues, escalating as needed.
  • Support foreign currency account onboarding and maintenance, ensuring required documentation is complete and compliant with KYC and AML standards.
  • Partner with internal teams such as front office, treasury, compliance, and technology to support operational processes and resolve inquiries.
  • Monitor settlement timelines, cut-off times, and account activity to help ensure efficient transaction processing.
  • Respond to client inquiries related to FX transactions, providing timely and accurate information.
  • Assist in maintaining operational records, reports, and key metrics.
  • Support process improvement initiatives and contribute to enhancing operational efficiency and controls.
  • Participate in system testing, updates, and implementation efforts as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in FX Operations, Client Services, or a related financial services role.
  • Basic knowledge of FX products, including spot, forwards, and swaps.
  • Understanding of post-trade FX processes such as confirmations, settlements, and reconciliations is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance concepts such as KYC and AML is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general familiarity with banking or FX systems (e.g., SWIFT) is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and a client-service-oriented mindset.

Compensation
The base pay range for this position is USD $20.00/Hr. - USD $36.00/Hr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
