What the Client Service Specialist is Responsible For

We are seeking a Client Service Specialist who will primarily focus on transaction request follow-up, the operational set-up of new SMA accounts, and account transition analysis. This individual may also have some relationship management responsibilities. The successful candidate will be considered a problem-solving partner for our clients and our sales team. The need for this hire is driven by the growth of our Canvas platform.

Ongoing Responsibilities of a Client Service Specialist
  • Effectively respond to ad-hoc advisor inquiries.
  • Facilitate responses to account transition requests.
  • Accurately onboard new accounts and ensure the appropriate settings are applied.
  • Provide an excellent advisor experience that encourages them to want to use Canvas more.
  • Work with colleagues on complex cases.
Ideal Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
  • Previous experience working in financial services and/or an asset management firm required.
  • Experience working for a direct indexing provider in a client service or operational capacity, a plus.
  • Superior work ethic.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Must have the ability to be pleasantly persistent when needed.
  • Selfโ€starter.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Intellectual curiosity.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively problem solve in a timely manner.
  • Must maintain a strong working relationship with both internal stakeholders and external clients.

Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary for this position to range between USD $95,000 โ€“ $125,000 plus discretionary bonus.
