Job description

Job Type
Full-time
Description
The Client Onboarding Manager owns and manages Brundage Groups onboarding engine. Ensuring every signed client and expansion moves from contract to live on a predictable timeline. They take each signed client or expansion, stand up the project, and drive it to go-live; delivering a live client with a clean handoff to the Client Success and Operations teams. The Client Onboarding Manager informs leadership exactly where every deal sits between booked and billing throughout the projects' cycles, leads the Onboarding Team, and evolves the required project onboarding toolset from the baseline capabilities already in place today. They own the book-to-bill status reporting executives, and the board rely on, ensure onboarding timeline and metrics are met, and are responsible for ensuring a smooth and successful onboarding and transition through stabilization. This role runs on communication and follow-through. It's the person who gets clients and internal teams to do the right thing, on time, without being chased.
Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Project & Portfolio Management: Owns each onboarding project end-to-end, from contract signature to go-live and handoff to Operations. Manages a portfolio of simultaneous onboarding projects across services and product installs. Builds and maintains project plans in Brundage's proprietary onboarding tooling (milestones, task owners, dependencies, target go-live dates). Manages scope, timelines, risks, issues, and change across every active project, driving both client-side and Brundage-side tasks to completion, on time and complete.
  • Sales Handoff & Intake: Owns the Sales-to-Onboarding handoff, defining what a complete handoff requires (signed contract/SOW, scope, pricing, key contacts, success criteria) and enforcing it. Sets and runs the cadence for taking handoff from Sales at contract signature.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinates Brundage IT, Sales, Operations, Client Engagement, and Finance around each project. Relies on IT for the technical build and installation of Certus Radar, Connect, and Beacon while owning the project management around it. Assesses, manages, resolves, and escalates risks and issues across the portfolio.
  • Operations & Client Engagement Handoff: Defines handoff criteria and runs the cadence for delivering each live client or expansion to Operations and Client Engagement for ongoing account management and support. Confirms readiness and completeness at each transition, and runs close-out and post-project review.
  • Team Leadership: Leads, coaches, and develops a team who supports detailed task tracking and communications. Assigns work across the portfolio and sets standards for timeliness, accuracy, and quality. Serves as escalation point for complex client or project issues.
  • Reporting & Book-to-Bill: Owns and maintains critical book-to-bill status reporting across all onboarding projects. Coordinates closely with Finance/FP&A to keep reporting accurate and reconciled. Produces reporting reliable enough for executive and board packages; is the single source of truth on where every signed deal sits between booked and billing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • 3-5 years of project management, implementation, or client onboarding experience, including some experience directing others.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (Smartsheet, Asana, MS Project, Jira, or similar) and the discipline to keep a system of record clean.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; able to drive decisions and chase completion across clients and internal teams without friction.
  • Healthcare experience is a plus; hospitals, health systems, revenue cycle, CDI/mid-cycle, healthcare services, or healthcare tech.
  • A track record running multiple concurrent projects to on-time completion, building trust with clients and internal stakeholders along the way.
  • Strong organization and follow-through; nothing falls through the cracks. Comfort with status reporting and the numbers behind it, and able to work fluently with Finance/FP&A.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and multiple projects competing for attention.
  • Ability to work independently and lead a small team collaboratively; requiring minimal supervision.

WORK EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, project management, or a related field required; Masters preferred
  • PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification required

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Conditions typically associated with an office environment. While performing the essential duties and responsibilities, the employee is regularly required to speak or hear. May be frequently required to sit, stand or walk. Moderate to prolonged reading, typing, and computer work. Ability to perform tasks involving physical activity that may include lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Limited Travel may be required (<5>
