Familiarity with property management software, booking platforms, and basic accounting systems is typically required. Excellent teamwork, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills are crucial for building relationships with staff and guests while effectively sharing responsibilities. What is a management couple?

Management couples are two individuals, often partners or spouses, who are employed together to manage a business or property, such as a hotel, resort, inn, or estate. They typically share responsibilities like overseeing operations, customer service, maintenance, and staff management. One partner may focus on front-of-house operations such as guest relations, reservations, and staff supervision, while the other oversees back-of-house tasks like accounting, maintenance, and supply management. Effective communication and flexibility are crucial, as both partners may need to step in and support each other during busy periods. This collaborative approach helps ensure smooth operations and creates a well-rounded management team.
