Position Summary:
Tetra Tech is seeking a Regional Client Manager residing in Texas with a proven sales and program management track record in developing business in solid waste hauling initiatives in the private and public sector along with other state and federal programs. In this role, the selected candidate will market Tetra Tech's disaster recovery, solid waste initiatives and consulting services to business, local, state and federal government clients. This role will provide significant coverage across the State of Texas and surrounding states which will require necessary business travel in these areas.
Essential Job Functions:
The following duties are considered essential to the role. Reasonable accommodation may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions:
  • Manage aspects of business development and client relations including performing market assessments, client identification, and matching client needs with Tetra Tech technical capabilities.
  • Foster new and existing Tetra Tech client relationships with local parishes, state partners and businesses within the industry with an emphasis on expanding Tetra Tech's disaster recovery client base in the region.
  • Develop business opportunities that meet Tetra Tech sales goals and objectives at a state regional level.
  • Support and guide the development of effective capture strategies for targeted opportunities and be able to increase sales and operations across our chosen end markets.
  • Meet assigned goals and work closely with Tetra Tech technical staff to deliver high-quality, cost-effective work products for our clients
  • Preparing proposals, project cost estimates, and client interview documents
  • Successfully assist target clients in the planning and timely implementation of their projects
  • Communicate with senior leadership staff from clients including elected officials.
  • Interface with federal, state, and local officials as required to support clients' needs
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts
  • Support other Tetra Tech staff assigned to projects
  • Adhere to all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies of disaster recovery.
  • Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline, knowledge and awareness.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
  • Additional duties as required.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree is desired with 15+ years' experience with strong public sector relationships.
  • Ability to secure and manage multi-million-dollar, large scale, multi-year project contracts.
  • Experience implementing debris and solid waste hauling programs.
  • Experience in financial administration of internal controls, compliance, budgets, financial reporting, and analysis.
  • Strong computer skills, work ethics, integrity, and teamwork background.
  • Possess a track record building and maintain relationships with clients, senior managers, and executives.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk, driving in a vehicle, or working on a computer.
  • Ability to walk on uneven terrain in adverse weather, occasionally.

  • Base compensation along with targeted sales goals and payouts.
