Job description

The Client Development & Engagement Manager - Litigation is responsible for working closely with the CDE Director, the CDE team, and the Firm's lawyers to lead strategic plans and objectives for several of the Firm's key Litigation practices. A senior member of the CDE team, the successful candidate, will drive cross-practice collaboration, with particular emphasis on the Antitrust and Trade Regulation, CFIUS and FDI practices.

The CDE Litigation Manager will manage relationships, and support research and analysis about clients, prospects, competitors, industries, related internal business, client communications, and related work product, maintaining the Firm's high standard of excellence. This role supports the implementation efforts of strategic business plans to ensure successful growth and consistency regarding the Firm's key business initiatives. This role offers an opportunity for growth within the organization, while leading the expansion of client portfolios, cross-practice initiatives, and driving measurable revenue growth.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with CDE team, Partners, and select client teams in implementing business development strategies and action plans

  • Serve as a key senior resource for business and operational support functions related to CDE for several practices in the Firm's Litigation Department

  • Develop compelling pitch and proposal materials

  • Design and implement practice and industry-related initiatives

  • Liaise with CDE team members and Partners to prepare and maintain up-to-date practice descriptions, capability statements, competitive intelligence and other relevant CDE collateral

  • Work with CDE team members to accurately maintain the Firm's engagement database and deals and case experience across all channels, as well as other operations and systems

  • Work closely with CDE team to maintain website content, Partner biographies and various CDE communications materials across multiple channels

  • Manage creation of marketing collateral and other promotional materials, working with graphics and outside vendors where appropriate

  • Work with stakeholders and the Firm's events team to coordinate Firm-sponsored events, webinars, presentations, and event logistics

  • Work closely with the CDE team to prepare and manage directory submissions and survey responses for various legal and business directories/publications

  • Foster and maintain strong relations with key stakeholders; ensure stakeholders' engagement is supported across departments and offices

  • Support CDE projects and other Firm initiatives as needed

  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

Skills and Experience

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience managing complex projects and teams.

Preferred

  • Prior experience in marketing and business development field at a law firm supporting litigation, enforcement or regulatory practices

  • Some familiarity with experience management databases such as Content Pilot or Foundation

  • Experience with website maintenance and/or Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems

  • Some experience with Bloomberg Law, Westlaw, Docket Navigator, or similar tracking tools preferred

Salary Information

Washington, DC Only: The estimated base salary range for this position is $170,000 to $210,000 at the time of posting.

The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is exempt meaning it is not overtime pay eligible.
